Adult & Second Chance Learning

The aim of IRD Duhallow's Adult and Second Chance Programme provides access to training and educational opportunities for members of our target groups within the Duhallow community so as to provide a second chance to higher education programmes with the aim of improving employment prospects and ultimately improve their quality of life.

IRD Duhallow provides the following supports:
- Advice and guidance on Education and Training Options.
- Bursary support for individuals returning to second chance education. (Eligibility Criteria Required).
- Advice, guidance and mentoring support as options available to clients will be outlined and alternative access routes will also be explored.

To be eligible applicants must be from one of the following target groups:
- Long Term Unemployed
- Disabled Person
- Lone Parent
- Low Income Smallholder
- Short Term Unemployed
- Asylum Seeker/Refugee
- Person from Low Income Family Unit
- Migrant Worker
