IRD Duhallow have partnered with Age Action Ireland to deliver BenefIT Computer Training over the last number of years.
Over 300 people in the Duhallow region have taken part in BenefIT computer training classes which are run in the Computer Lab in the James O’Keeffe Institute in Newmarket. The participants have been provided with Beginner and Improvers Computer Training.
The Beginners Classes cover topics such as:
- Basic Computers- Using the Keyboard, Mouse etc.
- Internet Safety and Security.
- Searching the Internet.
- Accessing online resources such as motortax.ie.
- Setting up E-mail Accounts.
- Using Skype
- Social Media and Networking.
- Shopping Online
- Introduction to Digital Photography.
The Improvers classes build on the skills learned in the Beginners module and includes topics such as:
- Social Media and Networking sites such as Facebook.
- Using Youtube & streaming music online.
- Online Travel- Booking the train and flights online.
- File management
- Shopping Online
- Internet Safety and Security.
- Use an online TV playback or podcast facility
