The IRD Duhallow Computer Lab facilitates computer training courses.
Located in the James O’Keeffe Institute is the IRD Duhallow Computer Lab. This Lab facilitates computer training courses such as Beginner and Improvers, Intermediate and Advanced Computer Classes. The Computer Lab also facilitates Skillnets Training Courses such as Excel Programmes for Accounting and Bookkeeping Courses and Digital Marketing and Social Media Training Workshops.
The Computer Lab also enables the delivery of the Touch Type Read Spell Programme (TTRS). The TTRS programme is a specially devised computer programme with dual learning for children, as they learn how to type and spell and it comes highly recommended for children with Dyslexia and Dyspraxia by Educational Psychologists. This multi sensory course teaches children how to touch type using patterns based on the Alpha and Omega spelling method, promoting positive learning and spelling.
