Tuesday 07th / 14th /21st/ 28th June/ 05th July & 12th July @7.00pm-8.30pm followed by an exciting in person chess tournament day in Newmarket.
We are delighted that Mark Quinn will be teaching this wonderful course. All classes are online.
Mark Quinn was awarded the title of International Master of Chess at the FIDE Congress during the Istanbul Olympiad in 2000. Mark made his debut for Ireland at the World Under 14 chess championships in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin in 1990. Since then he has represented Ireland in many World and European Junior Championships. He made his Senior debut for Ireland at the Moscow Chess Olympiad in 1994 and has competed in seven Chess Olympiads to date. He was ranked Number 1 in Ireland at the age of 17. As of December 2020, Mark is the Number 5 ranked active Irish player on the International FIDE rating list. Mark was awarded the title of FIDE trainer in April 2020.
Mark has extensive experience as a chess coach for players of all levels and ages, from beginner to advanced. Several of his past pupils have gone on to represent Ireland at Junior and Senior level including Glorney Cups and Chess Olympiads. His talent for the game, coupled with his competition experience and communication skills makes him a strong choice to guide you through all the various stages of your chess battles.
