This virtual workshop will focus on promoting social inclusion and diversity.

The event is suitable for educational providers, professionals, community representatives, volunteers and anyone with an interest in social inclusion.
It will focus specifically on cultural awareness of the Muslim community living in Ireland and Duhallow area.
The topics will include:
- Religious Practices:

- Prayer: The workshop will provide an understanding prayer times, and the significance of Friday congregational prayers.
- Fasting and Ramadan: The workshops will explain how fasting during Ramadan affects daily routines, productivity, and the importance of providing flexibility.
- Festivals: Islamic holidays such as Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha will be discussed, and how these are celebrated within families and communities.
- Dietary Requirements:

- Halal Food: Workshops will give an explanation of halal dietary practices and the significance of shared meals.
- Cultural Considerations:

- Gender interactions: The workshops will examine cultural sensitivities around modesty, personal space, and gender dynamics in social and work settings.
- Clothing: The importance of modest dress (such as the hijab) and accommodating dress codes in professional environments will be examined.
- Migrant Experiences: The workshops will look at the challenges that Muslim migrants may face, including integration, navigating school systems for their children, and maintaining cultural identity.
