Recognition of Learning Ceremony 2023


The Recognition of Learning Ceremony will take place at IRD Duhallow, Newmarket, Co Cork at 3pm on Friday the 23rd of June 2023.

The ceremony is for anybody who completed a training course from any of the programmes run by IRD Duhallow.

If your course was a QQI Level 5 or above you will be provided with a Robe and Cap.

Prior to the Ceremony

Once you receive your email invitation, please take a few moments to confirm your attendance and outline how many people will be with you. CLICK HERE to confirm if you have not already done so.

Due to the large number of people involved in the recognition of learning ceremony, it is important that you arrive on time.

Should you require a robe, please go directly to the James O’Keeffe Institute to meet a member of our team (from 2.15pm).

Members of staff will organise you in the correct order, for seating during the ceremony. Your family will be able to sit in an unreserved section.

Order of Proceedings

  • Collect your Robe & Cap from 2.15pm.
  • Arrival and Seating from 3pm.
  •  Opening Address 3.30pm
  •  Graduates will be called individually to receive their awards
  •  Our photographer will take one photo on stage
  •  Closing Address
  •  Tea, Coffee & Light Refreshments
  • More photo opportunities will be available after the ceremony
  • Return your robe

During the Ceremony

Following the welcoming address, you and your fellow graduates will be called up to stage to receive your award.

When your name is called, you should approach the stage to receive your certificate. After you have collected it and been photographed, you should descend the stage and return to your seat. Your cooperation with staff during this process will be much appreciated.
