This 8 weeks programme enables students to enhance and acquire English language skills in reading writing, listening and speaking. In addition, it supports each skills-based lesson with speaking activities designed to give students the opportunity to acquire and practice vocabulary and grammar. This course aims to improve all four language skills to achieve level B1.1 of the CEFR.

By the end of this course, students will be able to do the following:
• Read very short, simple texts.
• Find specific, predictable information in simple everyday material such as advertisements, prospectuses, menus and timetables
• Write short, simple notes and messages relating to matters in areas of immediate needs.
• Write a very simple personal letter, for example thanking someone for something
• Communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar topics and activities.
• Use a series of phrases and sentences to describe in simple terms their family and other people, living conditions, my
educational background and their present or most recent job
• Understand phrases and the highest frequency vocabulary related to areas of most immediate personal relevance
