Hedgerows Ireland are a not-for-profit company dedicated to raising awareness of the value and appropriate management of hedgerows; promoting the craft and profession of hedge laying; and documenting our hedgerow heritage.
At this one day workshop, you will learn the traditional craftsmanship of hedge laying from a hedge-laying specialist.
This event will take place in Boherbue, North County Cork.
Things you need to bring:
- Sturdy boots, e.g. work or hiking boots.
- Work gloves, e.g. rigger gloves.
- Safety glasses
- Packed lunch
- Comfortable clothes, including trousers you can kneel on the ground in.
- Waterproofs – we will be outdoors and Irish weather is unpredictable! Spare socks are a good idea if your shoes aren’t waterproof.
- If you have any tools (e.g. axe/billhook) you’d like some advice on, feel free to bring those too.
