Aisling Meehan is the solicitor for the Farmers Journal. Coming from a dairy farming background and has a hands-on experience of rural agricultural matters. As well as operating a niche agricultural law and tax practice from offices located at the home farm “Rathlahine Farm”, Aisling farms her own land located in North Clare. Rathlahine Farm is an award winning family farm owned by the Meehan family.
Qualifications and Experience
Aisling Meehan graduated from University of Limerick with an honours degree in Law and Accounting. She trained in the Tax Department of one of Ireland’s top five law firms, William Fry graduating as a Solicitor and Tax Consultant (AITI).
She has also completed FETAC 180-hour Certificate in Farming and was awarded a level 5 FETAC certificate in Animal and Crop Production as well as a level 6 FETAC certificate in Farm Business.
She is solicitor to the leading national farming newspaper in Ireland, the Irish Farmers Journal. She takes an active part in shaping agricultural legal and tax policy and regularly contributes to various legal, tax and business forums.
